PUSS
IN BOOTS IS CAST AND ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO!
Welcome
everyone
I
hope you have enjoyed your summer break
and are reading for the hard work ahead.
Whilst you have been on holiday the Director
and his team have been working hard to
get things ready for the first rehearsal.
We
have a strong cast of old stalwarts and
new talent. We also welcome some cast
members from the past who have returned
to rejoin the team.
We
have a manageable single chorus of experienced
members who know what is expected of them
and I’m sure they will deliver. Steve
Williams returns to the role of Dame this
year so we can expect the show to be led
with his usual enthusiasm. (He seems to
come into his own when he is wearing a
dress!). Michaela Brown is back as Margery
Dawe and her mum is the Fairy Godmother
character Mother Goose. Gruesome the Henchman
will be played by David Ford who I think
some of you will know from the Plume.
It s nice to see Rene fully recovered
and back on show.
Full Cast is as follows
Caspar
- Carol Hart
Chamberlain
- Bruce Knight
Crunchbones - Ben Markham
Freckles - Trevor Enefer
Gruesome - David Ford
Hector - Rene Thorneloe
Jack Spratt - Ian Mc Donald
Marjorie Daw - Michaela Brown

will be available to cast members from
Chris Patching at first rehearsal but

Rehearsals (all at the Town Hall unless
otherwise directed)
Chorus

an 11th September .at 7 30pm.
Principal
Rehearsals take place each Tuesday night
at 7 30pn commencing Tuesday 8th September.
More
detail will be available at each of the
first rehearsals.
Music
Kris
will be our musical Director this year
and he and Chris are already working on
the music so we should be ahead of the
Game
Scenery
This
year’s scenery plan is complete and we
having been working on the drops through
August whilst the Town Hall is clear of
group activities. From September onward
we will be working every Friday from 4pm
until rehearsal time to make the scenery
for this year’s show
We need all the help we can get so if
you have teenagers studying drama at the
Plume this is an ideal opportunity to
get some hands on experience, and it will
look well on a CV when they apply for
higher education.
Costumes
We
still need help with this year’s costumes.
This is the area causing most concern
so please consider carefully and get in
touch if you can help in any way.
See you in the Autumn
